“Ouuuuuuuuut tonight!” - the statement Patrisha Louisse Sales is known for her portrayal of the character Mimi in the Narra musical Rent. She showcased her singing prowess as early as our first year in Rural as the Ms. Freshman candidate of Ipil. This talented young girl does not only have the voice to astonish but also the words to amaze. Being a member of the UPRHS Journalism Circle, she writes articles and editorials with ease. But her writing skills don’t end there, she also maintains a blog, composes songs and writes poetry. She even had her poems during our first year published in the school paper. Talk about being gifted, this girl just might have every bit of talent a person can have. “Nung nagsabog ang Diyos ng grasya, siya na lahat ang nakasalo” - as quoted by one of our batchmates. Trisha is also a dancer, being a cheerer for 4 consecutive years. Adding fuel to the fire, she is the layout artist of the batch forum website. Being creative, Trisha is fond of personalizing things, from her notebooks down to her clothes, even her online accounts! But all these activities do not hinder Trisha from being a good friend and trusted companion.
This is the testimonial for me from our high school yearbook. I do have to make a correction, though. I haven’t composed a song ever. I don’t know how to play any musical instrument (well, I play the guitar a little bit but I’m not as good as others because I only know the basic chords) and I do not know my way around reading musical notes so I’m not sure where they got the idea that I can compose songs. Haha.
Anyway, I was actually touched when I first read this even though I also feel a bit bashful with what’s written here. But thanks for the kind words/description of me to whoever wrote or contributed to this testimonial. :)
